Take a Duck Tour--it%26#39;s a fun way to see the city and get a historic overview. bostonducktours.com

Walk the Freedom Trail-- thefreedomtrail.org

Visit a museum--the Isabella Stewart Gardner and the Museum of Fine Arts are my favorites.

Take a tour of Fenway Park--go to bostonredsox.com

Do some shopping on Newbury Street--high-end shops. good place to people-watch.

Hit some bars--Faneuil Hall/Quincy Market area has loads of them,

as well as Boylston Street in Back Bay.

Chowder? Union Oyster House and Legal Seafood

Where to stay? Holiday Inn Select--Govt Center. Centrally located in Beacon Hill, it%26#39;s a no-frills hotel close to the T and many attractions, and it won%26#39;t break the bank.

if you get the trolley tour you can hop on and off when you see somewhere that looks intersting. Boston is so easy to walk around you will just come across everything of interest as you wonder around the place.

If you like seafood, The Barking crab, is good for seafood, great views and good prices, the atmosphere is relaxed as you sit on long communal picnic benches. It%26#39;s much cheaper to eat in Boston (than UK) so even an expensive meal would set you back about £15. The cheesecake factory is awesome, for main courses as well as desserts, portions are huge so don%26#39;t order a starter. If you are really short of cash then grab something to eat at Quincy Market, it%26#39;s like a up market food court with everything you could ever want to eat- the lobster rolls are my favourite, although the chowder served in a cob roll is good as well.

Locals will probably think I%26#39;m talking rubbish but I%26#39;m a tourist who loves the place and has been there on my Hols about five times. No idea on cheap accomodation sorry as only stay in moderate priced places. You could check out the airport hotels as there is a very good rail link (called the T) witch takes minutes to get to the centre of town, you can even take the water taxi which is an event in its self!

Have a great trip

A great central location for the money to stay is the Midtown hotel, Holiday Inn or Hotel 140. The location of all 3 is decent with the Hotel 140 being right near Copley.

You guys are young so probably want to hit the bars and clubs. 3 great areas are Fanueil Hall area, The Alley on Boylston Street and Landsdown Street. Each of those areas has plenty of action.

In terms of things to do, Ducks are great. If you are into movies and The Departed, check out Boston Movie Tours. There is also a new high speed boat opening sometime in June called Codzilla (or something like that).

Have a blast.

Hi,

Duck Tour is fun, and walking the Freedom Trail is free and a great way to see the city, and get some immersion in the ';Other'; point of view of what happened during the Revolution.

If you want one meal, reasonably-priced, with a chance to try New England regional specialities and which has a lot of Boston charm, go to Durgin-Park in Quincy Market. They have excellent Clam Chowder, and other specialities such as baked Schrod, fried belly clams, Boiled Dinner (corned beef and cabbage), roast turkey. And for dessert, they have the classic Indian Pudding with vanilla Ice Cream, or coffee Jell-o, both of which are very hard to find elsewhere:
