NC to New York City?

Has anyone taken a tour group from North Carolina to New York City?

My girlfriend (';substitute mother';) and I would like to go for a few days to see the sights. The advantage of a tour would be someone to show us around. She%26#39;s always wanted to see NYC, especially at Christmas time. (I%26#39;ve never been.) She found a tour with ';Christian Tours'; but it%26#39;s $1,185 per person, by bus, and at least 1 night is not in NYC. Seems a little pricey for what you get. Would love some other options, including flying or by train.
