Planning a trip to Provincetown for July 4th holiday. Given that July 4th falls on a Wednesday, what is the best time to visit? Jue 28-July 4 or July 3-July 7. Any feedback greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Provincetown really fills up for holidays. If you haven%26#39;t found a place to stay already, availability of accommodations will be what will drive your stay. Beyond that it really doesn%26#39;t matter. If you are driving, the June 28 - July 4 dates are probably better because June 28 is a day before the start of heavy on-cape traffic and many people stay the week, so July 4 off-cape traffic won%26#39;t be as heavy as the following weekend. But you%26#39;ll miss the fireworks if you leave early on the 4th.

I%26#39;d aggree.. I did find that many places have a 7 night minimum stay requirement at that time because of the Holiday... so you might want to plan that out.. I just stayed at Crowne Pointe www.crownepointe.com check it out... We had a great time.. and a great meal in their restaurant ....
