The cost would vary depending on which part of town you are staying in. My guess would be averaging in the $20%26#39;s, but that%26#39;s really only a guess. You can also take the ';T'; Green Line ';E'; Branch there as well.

How do you get to the Chestnut Hill Mall from the E train?
You can%26#39;t, to my knowledge. I think he may have been confused with Copley or the Pru. You can take the 60 bus sort of near the Chestnut Hill Mall, and then walk the last part of the way....
Sorry, I meant the ';D'; Branch, but now you%26#39;ve got me wondering how close it really comes to the Mall. Is that not practical?
If I can recall from my school days out in the Chestnut Hill-Newton area, the Chestnut Hill stop isn%26#39;t all that convenient to the mall. One needs to walk west about 3/4 mile from the stop to the mall, and this is on a leafy path that runs parallel to Route 9. During the day it%26#39;s probably fine but evenings it%26#39;s a little spooky.
The MBTA website says to take the #60 bus from Kenmore Square to the Chestnut Hill Mall via Cypress Street.
Hi,
The Chestnut Hill stop on the ';D'; Riverside branch, is across the street from the OLD Chestnut Hill Shopping mall, which is actually just a strip mall with a Star Market and the Movie Theater and a Legal Sea Foods market in it.
The mall you are thinking of, is actually another 1/2 mile down the road from there. I believe that the entire Bloomies has moved in there now. It used to be split between a free-standing store and the Men%26#39;s/Home store in the main Mall.
The #60 Bus does go to the actual mall, from Kenmore Sq, if you wanted to do that.
That mall is upscale, nice, but unless you%26#39;re totally determinted to get to Bloomies, you might be equally happy with the Prudential Mall downtown, which is also upscale (with a Neiman%26#39;s) but easier to get to.
If you%26#39;re determined to go to Chestnut Hill, you could also get a cab from Brookline Village: it%26#39;s a straight shot up Rt. 9.
thanks everyone
Coco and Beantown are accurate in their information. If you do head out that way, you may also want to go across the street to the Atrium Mall as well.
