Best time of year to visit Boston

Hi

I am from Liverpool, England and I am thinking of coming to Boston on Vacation. Would really like to know what is the best time of year to visit Boston. We would also really appreciate any suggestions of tourist type things we can do

Thanks

Best time of year to visit Boston

September after Labor Day, and all of October is the best time of year to visit Boston. Spring is nice, but weather in May and June can be pretty unsettled, and as a tourist it could ruin your trip. Boston winters certainly aren%26#39;t what they used to be, but they can still pack a punch. Outdoor activities are limited. July and August are too darned hot for me! If heat and humidity is your cup of tea then Summer in Boston is for you.

The %26#39;Boston Attractions'; section on this site is a good place to start for tourist-type things to do, but the big ones are walking the Freedom Trail, taking a Duck or Trolley Tour, and visiting a museum. Boston is a walkable city with a great public transportation system. visit mbta.com for all public transport info. In chosing a hotel you%26#39;ll want to be centrally located. Copley Square/Back Bay is a good place to set up camp.

Best time of year to visit Boston

Hi,

I agree with Healey. September/October is the best time to visit. The weather is generally mild and sunny, the heat of the Summer is mostly past (unless you visit in the first two weeks of Sept, in which case you could still easily hit a heatwave) and if you visit in mid to late October, you can see some of the beautiful foliage colors around Boston and south.

The next best time to visit is Mid to Late Spring, from about mid may to mid June. The weather is a bit more iffy then, though. There%26#39;s more chance of rain and colder weather.

.....I agree with the previous posters....
