looking for a nice reasonable place to stay for me and my wife
nice place to stay
There are so many places and so much already written here that if you want an answer you should give a few details. When are you coming? What is reasonable? what do you like to do? What age bracket are you in? Any specific preferences (hotel, motel resort, B+B)?
nice place to stay
we are arriving in August. We are a couple in our late 50%26#39;s and do not enjoy B%26amp;B%26#39;s. Any reasonable place in Cape Cod (Hyannis, Falmouth, Yarmouth) would be great (cleanliness of the hotel is a MUST!!!!!!). We want to pay between 145-205 a night.
If you want to travel just one town further east then I can suggest two oceanfront motels on the sand in Dennisport. We are partial to Dennisport because we have been going there so long and now own a vacation home there. Also it%26#39;s a wonderful mid-Cape location if you decide to explore the Cape Cod National Seashore, take in all the activity in Hyannis and/or visit the attractions in Chatham.
Take a look at www.colonybeachmotel.com which has poolside rooms for $165 and on up to $250 for ocean front...I think effciencies.
Then there%26#39;s www.threeseasonsresort.com almost next door and their poolside room is $185.and the beachfront is $230. Tax is 9.7%.
There%26#39;s lot of upscale as well as casual dining, some within walking distance in Dennisport.
If you want some more input regarding Dennisport just use the drop down menu at the top and also type in the next empty space:Dennisport.
Also, in Hyannis the Seacoast Inn always gets top marks on this board. I think it will be in your price range and it is NOT a B%26amp;B even if the name sort of suggests it.
In Yarmouth a lot of folks like the Beach n Town and the All Seasons both on busy Rt. 28, not on the beach but again, in your price range I believe. Hope this is helpful to you.
The Seacoast Inn - Hyannis is reasonable and very clean with great hosts - There is no pool and no open balcony areas if that is important to you . Ask for the rooms diagnolly away from the Front desk - overlooks park
The Anchor In - Hyannis gets nice reviews as well - Has newly renovated rooms and nice locations along with a pool - not sure if their best rooms are under 190 .00
The Colony Beach in Dennisport is very nice - FYI - ask for the newly renovated rooms with new baths
Also take a look at the newly renovated Pelham House Inn located in Dennisport - Just reopened this year - billed now as a timeshare but advertising for nightly stays - Has pool and oceanfront
- Never have seen this one but it looks very nice
The Beach House at Bass River - Check website - Rooms look nice of website - It does not appear they have a pool
If you%26#39;re looking for a CLEAN place to stay, I%26#39;d highly recommend All Seasons in South Yarmouth (just a stone%26#39;s throw away from Hyannis)

Naomi :-)
We%26#39;ve stayed @ both Beach N%26#39; Towne %26amp; All Seasons. No comparison.
All Seasons is, hands down, the nicer of the two. Much cleaner (inside %26amp; out)
