We will be spending 3 days in Boston in October and was hoping someone could give me some suggestions on hotels.
it is important that the hotel is central, would be nice if we could walk to most of the tourist sights.
As long as its clean a basic hotel will do since we won%26#39;t be spending much time in the room.
We were thinking of spending $150 a night for a double room.
Can anyone offer any suggestions on areas and names of hotels? Thanks a lot
Accomodation question
Try the Midtown Hotel or the Holiday Inn Select in Government Center (not other Holiday Inns!!).
Accomodation question
Hi,
Also the John Jeffries House and the Clarion Bulfinch might be in your price range.
You can also try Hotwire or Priceline and bid on hotels downtown. I%26#39;d probably start at $100 and keep bidding up as far as you want to go, until you get accepted.
i have stayed at the midtown , not much frills but very clean and huge rooms. fantastic location and if the weather is still nice they have an outdoor pool cheers!
Have stayed at the Holiday Inn Select at Government Center... nothing fancy, but clean and a decent walk to Fanuel Hall and Quincey Market.. also close to Freedom Trail.. it%26#39;s not a bad deal and a lot cheaper than most downtown hotels... dh
That Holiday Inn is not bad---I used to work nearby. There%26#39;s a supermarket and a bunch of stores right there.. It%26#39;s a block from the Charles St. and Bowdoin T stops and the n-hood is decent.
I%26#39;ve been a champion of the HI Select for a long time, but I don%26#39;t think it will fit under your $150/night budget. In that case, I will second BeantownMan%26#39;s suggestion on The John Jeffries House. Most rooms will fit into your budget. Both hotels are located in Beacon Hill. The area is a wonderful, centrally located spot for tourists. It%26#39;s safe, close to the T, and walkable to many attractions.
Also i second the Midtown hotel, the Prudential %26amp; Copley Malls are about 10-15 minute walk and they are connected by a walkway, plus the Greenline Subway %26#39;T%26#39; Symphony Hall Station is a 3 minute walk from your hotel that will bring you downtown.
