Which North End Restaurant To Chose???

Three teens and two adults looking for a place in the North End where we can park(preferably in the garage near Millenium Hotel) and enjoy a nice but not pricey italian dinner on a monday night. Just getting off a long flight and heading to the Cape after. Read one post that said La Summa does not allow jeans and we will definitely be in them. Already craving a cannoli at Mike%26#39;s Pastry so what is nearby??? thanks

Which North End Restaurant To Chose???

Many of the restaurants have Valet parking. If you don%26#39;t mind paying for the priviledge, there shouldn%26#39;t be a problem. Or take the Blue Line Subway, which comes near the North End. Then you can head back to the Airport to pick up your car,

Which North End Restaurant To Chose???

Hi,

LaSumma certainly does allow jeans. I wouldn%26#39;t show up there in gym shorts and flip flops (although they probably wouldn%26#39;t care), but it%26#39;s not fancy at all.

Another good option is Antico Forno, which is on Salem St., one block over from Hanover (where Mike%26#39;s is).

If you don%26#39;t mind a little walking, you could also go to Massimino%26#39;s Cucina Italiana , which I tried for the first time yesterday and I really enjoyed the meal very much. It%26#39;s a bit off the tourist path, so it%26#39;s not as crowded as other places. However, it%26#39;s in the North Station side of the North End, so maybe it%26#39;s a few blocks further walk than La Summa or Antico Forno.

There is parking in the garage next to the Aquarium - and a nice walk to the North End along the waterfront.

For dinner, I recommend Strega on Hanover Street. Excellent food and a fun atomsphere. I think the teenagers will like it. as well as the adults. http://www.stregaristorante.com

Mike%26#39;s Pastry is about a block away on the other side of the street.

BeantownMan--beat me to it! I was getting ready to write that you can wear jeans and go to La Summa. By all means, give La Summa a try--I look forward to going back there!

Many great choices in the North End, but for canoli you must go to Modern Pastry. Can%26#39;t remember the name, but I ate at a good restaurant right across the street fro Modern that was casual.

Another vote for La Summa.

Sounds like I may have to try La Summa this time around and will definitely check out the others on another visit.

Thanks
